Big Tree
Redwoods National Park, California
This is "Big Tree," and yes it is quite big at over 300 feet tall and something like 1500 years old. And I hear that they have found bigger ones. In the early 1900s or so some people wanted to cut it down to make a dance floor on the trunk of the tree. Well, thank you to all the people who made the effort to protect this tree and all the others.
